Oil, Watercolor N None
Dawn on the San Pedro Valley #1, an oil by Martha SprenkleI was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where the majestic, castle-like Philbrook Museum is located.  When I was nine years old my parents enrolled me in a summer art session of clay and painting at Philbrook, that was when I fell in love with art.

My formal art training has been very little compared to so many talented artists.  I feel as if I have been gathering information along the way and tucking it away for the day I could call myself an artist.  My first formal introduction to art was at Tulsa University.  I owe thanks for the wonderful knowledge each experience has taught me.

Martha had these two pieces in the 2012 Celebrate the Arts! exhibition.
